Republican Scott Brown won a stunning victory last night to fill Senator Ted Kennedy's seat in Massachusetts. His election deprives the Democrats of a supermajority and will force Democrats to work with Republicans on all major issues. The leftist agenda that began last year is coming to a halt and we have the people of this country who have stood up for freedom from government to thank.

There is an overlooked Republican success story right here in Texas when it comes to this election. The Texas Congressional delegation gained a Republican seat in this election. This is overshadowed by the Democratic gains in Congress, which came in other states.

As I’ve been traveling around the district these past few weeks, it’s been great to be back in Texas. At “Ask Mike Anything” stops, I’ve heard from people about the bailout bill, energy concerns, and their thoughts on the direction of the country.
